The article is devoted to the history of the study of A.K. Tolstoy's works translations in China (1817-1875). The article considers the stages of acquaintance of Chinese readers with the works of the Russian writer from the 1920s, when Qu Qiubai first introduced Russian aestheticism and one of its representatives, the poet A.K. Tolstoy in the publication of a collection of A.K. Tolstoy's poems with detailed commentaries in 2018. The article notes the interest in the writer's works in the 1980s, which arose in connection with the translation of his historical novel “Prince Serebryanny”. The significance of the publication of the collection “My Bluebells” as a basis for an in-depth study of A.K. Tolstoy's lyrics and the fact of interaction between Russian and Chinese literature and culture is revealed.
