Abstract

Syntactic phrasemes of the German language are a rather controversial phenomenon in modern linguistic. The definition of syntactic phrasemes, their types as well as their position among other phraseme classes cause scientific discussions. The authors of the article suggest a new perspective in syntactic phraseme research and try to determine their linguocreative potential, or in other words component variations of syntactic structures. The research is based on the contexts taken from the largest German linguistic corpus DeReKo, which provides the study of modern language, allowing the authors to identify trends in the development of phraseological units in modern German. Considering various types of syntactic phrasemes, the authors identify the units most susceptible to lexical and grammatical changes and determine the reasons for component variability of the studied set expressions.
