Images of the Dursleys and Harry Potter in the German translation of the J.K. Rowling’s novels

The object of the research includes the images of the characters of the Dursley family and Harry Potter in the German translation of the novels by J.K. Rowling. The subject of the research is linguistic tools for creating the images of these characters. Methods used in the research
are descriptive and contextual analysis. The results have shown that to create the images of the characters lexical and stylistic methods are used. Mostly, they are lexical repetitions and comparisons.
