Abstract

The state of engineering education is analyzed and three problematic points are identified that reduce its quality at the present time: a weak level of awareness of professional self-determination of students, unwillingness to fully use the potential of digitalization of education, insufficient preparedness of the pedagogical team to establish effective communication in the educational process. The importance of universal abilities and communicative competencies in the process of professional realization of a modern specialist is proved. The study was conducted on the basis of axiological, competence-based and activitybased methodological approaches. Structural-functional and system-activity approaches were also used. The importance of communication in the interaction of participants in the educational process for the formation of spiritual, moral and professionally important qualities of a specialist is substantiated. The ERASMUS-ENTER project is described, aimed at improving the professional readiness of teachers of technical universities for effective pedagogical activity in modern conditions. The content of the discipline “Pedagogical psychology and communication” is given, aimed at preparing a teacher for the organization of educational training by means of technical disciplines, the formation of skills to assist students in choosing targets in their profession and life, the manifestation of an active civic position and inclusion in public life. Digitalization of education determines the creation of conditions for the informal development of communicative competencies based on the use of digital resources. Intensive development of the communicative competencies of teachers of engineering disciplines presupposes the construction of the educational process on the basis of a more complete individualization of learning, strengthening its activity character and creative orientation. The article
proposes a set of measures aimed at improving the system of professional development and the development of communicative competencies through the individualization of the educational trajectory, changing the structure of the educational process and the use of impulse learning technologies
