Development of a methodology for increasing the efficiency of determining defects in rolling bearings of shipboard equipment

The purpose of this research is to increase the period of trouble-free operation, to increase the inter-repair resource of mechanisms by means of its timely repair, to reduce the consumption of spare parts, to reduce the amount of redundancy. To achieve the set goals, it is necessary to increase the efficiency of defects and current state of bearings in shipboard equipment.
One of the most widespread methods, allowing to reveal defects of rolling bearings at the stage of origin with a high degree of reliability, is the method of vibration diagnostics. Analysis of vibration signals received at vibration measurement in different points of the unit, their comparison with the norms valid for this type of equipment allows to get an objective conclusion about the general technical condition of the equipment.
The accuracy of the current condition of the bearings determines the accuracy of the forecast of the remaining life of the mechanism, and this will reduce the downtime of the equipment due to unexpected breakdowns, will reduce the time between repairs, and thus will reduce the financial burden on the shipowner.
