Abstract

This study examines Japanese syntax to determine the connection between linguistic features of the language and the way in which Japanese people think. The research contributed to the understanding of three language features that affect the mindset: situation orientation, non-individualization, and relative flexibility of structure. It was discovered that the distinctive aspects of Japanese language structure reflect the culture's non-rational and intuitive inclinations.
