Abstract

March 2023 marks the 125th anniversary of the birth of Zhou Enlai, one of the most brilliant and influential figures in the XXth century history of China, who determined the directions of the revolutionary struggle in the country until 1949 and the content of socialist modernization after the formation of the People’s Republic of China. The article clarifies the content and results of the functioning of the Second United Front in China and highlights the role of Zhou Enlai in this process.
