Abstract

Anatoly Panteleevich Derevyanko is an outstanding Russian scientist in the field of archeology and ancient history, a prominent expert on the problems of the Paleolithic of Asia and America, the initial human settlement of the Eurasian subcontinent, chronostratigraphy and correlation of Paleolithic cultures in the arid zones of Eurasia, reconstruction of the ancient history of the Amur region and the Far East from the Paleolithic era to the Early Middle Ages, as well as an indispensable participant in interdisciplinary studies of ancient sites in Central, Northern and Central Asia, the Caucasus. The scientist has discovered and researched hundreds of archaeological sites in North, Central and Southeast Asia, Central and South-Eastern Asia, as well as in Southwestern and Eastern Europe.
