Abstract

The cooperative form of economic management in Russia is formed with the emergence of capitalist relations, being in turn an indicator of economy’s transition to a new level of development. This state of affairs was typical for the Russian Far East at the beginning of the XXth century, when cooperative societies started to play a special role in the development of the economic and social life of the region. The article presents an overview of the main activities of cooperative enterprises in the Russian Far East on the eve of political and economic cataclysms at the beginning of the XXth century.
