The author states that fantasy performs a very important function in the endlessly changing modern world: it acts in such a way that the variability characteristic of the postmodern era becomes comfortable for perception. Immersion in fantasy allows people not only to realize that change is a normal state for human existence, but also to make sure that in addition to a person as an active force, there is a reality that can also influence the formation of new genres and a new attitude to the foundations of culture.
