The article serves as a foreword to the publication of the translation of the article «Anaxagoras’ proof for the existence of God» written by the Hungarian logician and philosopher Ákos Pauler. Analyzing the preserved fragments of the ancient Greek philosopher’s work, the author reconstructs his metaphysical teaching about the world mind, completes the possible logical moves of the ancient thinker that he could use while creating his teaching, and shows the similarity of these moves with the logical constructions of the proofs for the existence of God, created by European theologians and philosophers of the Middle Ages and modern times. The translation is published to familiarize Russian specialists in religious studies and philosophy with the work of one of the outstanding Hungarian philosophers.
