Due to the growing interest in Korean culture, Korean literature is becoming increasingly popular. And more often this pertains to modern literature than to classical one. This article addresses the problem of the coverage lack in domestic Korean studies of the works of some Korean authors who wrote in Hanmun (a Koreanized form of the Chinese language). The article is devoted to a review of the work of the poet and prose writer Ho Gyun, as well as an analysis of his works. As a result of the analysis, the author's contribution to Korean literature was identified.
