Abstract

This article is devoted to the topic of the confrontational victim. This term refers to the type of victim who resists violence, discrimination or other forms of violation of their rights, but at the same time the specified activity contributes to their victimization (revictimization). The paper offers the author's definition of this concept and puts forward a number of arguments in favor of studying this type of victims. A number of hypothetical cases are analyzed and listed, when the resistance of a victim can cause unfavorable consequences for him/her. A distinction is made between the definitions of resisting and aggressive victims. Based on the study of victimization in the cyber environment, a classification of counteracting victims is proposed, suggesting their division into four groups: victims of prevention; victims of cancellation; victims of oppositional behavior and victims of repressive motives.
