Abstract

The work evaluates the local reduction in normal stresses in the area of contact between the transversely corrugated wall and the flange sheets of a welded I-beam. The inability of a thin corrugated sheet to absorb normal forces in the direction across the corrugations has been proven. Finite element models of the studied tee fragments are presented, as well as the main results and analysis of numerical modeling, which is implemented using the LIRA-SAPR software package. A comparative analysis of the results obtained was carried out.
