Abstract

During the design and construction of a dry dock for the shipbuilding complex in Bolshoy Kamen, Russian specialists had disagreements with designers from China on the issues of ensuring the strength of the dock gate. As a result of the analysis of the project documentation, design flaws were identified, in particular, hard points. FEFU representatives were involved in solving the issues that arose.

In the previous article, the results of assessing the strength of the dock gate using simple engineering methods were considered. In addition, the finite element method was used to calculate the stability and vibration of a typical node in the lower part of the dock gate. This article is devoted to the study of the stress-strain state of the dock gate as a whole as a complex spatial structure by the finite element method.
