The article reveals the principles of park spaces light environment formation. Modern techniques and means of creating comfortable and artistically expressive lighting of parks in the evening and at night are described. In the proposed light installation project, the light-compositional means are based on the visual art of post-impressionism and pointillism artists, in particular, on the work of Vincent van Gogh. The full-scale realization of a light installation poses the problem of developing lighting and light composition criteria for evaluating the light forms of installations in the evening-night park and urban environment.
