Influence of lifting force on the nature of motion of a submerged body in a near-surface water environment

Movement of a submarine in the near-surface water environment is of great tactical importance. Maneuverability and controllability of the vessel interacting with the free surface of water become key factors in ensuring safety and efficiency of operations. In this paper, on the basis of the experimental tank authors for the first time obtained the experimental dependences of relative vertical displacement of submerged bodies of various shapes under the influence of the lifting force when moving near the free surface of the liquid. Influence on the value of vertical displacement, features of the shape of body of the models, has been established. Numerically, using the ANSYS 19 R2 Academic Research software package, we analyzed the influence of the hydrodynamic pressure field formed around the body on the wave pattern when moving at different speeds, and determined the dependence of the wave resistance coefficient for models with given parameters.
