Abstract

The article presents the key features of ships design methodology with taking account the random factors and probabilistic nature of the initial data. The stages of the evolution of computational methods and the role of information technology in the theory of ship design are considered. The reasons of appearance and necessity to accounting the uncertainty in ship design process are noted. An algorithm for taking into account the probabilistic nature of the initial data in ship design models and methods of criteria construction are considered. The results of comparative calculations in a deterministic and probabilistic statements are presented.
