Abstract

The article deals with some issues of Chinese students’ adaptation to study at the Far Eastern Federal
University in Vladivostok and their living in a Russian-speaking environment. On their example, the authors explain
the increasing number of young people from China among Russian university students, in particular, in the Russian
Far East. They also examine principal factors that can facilitate the Chinese students’ adaptation to new educational
and living conditions and their employment prospects after graduation from the Russian university. While preparing the
article, empirical research methods were used, observation, interviews, and questionnaire polls among them.
