This article examines the issues faced by Vietnamese immigrants who migrated to the United States
during the 1980s – 2020s. The paper investigates the difficulties of adaptation and integration into American society for Vietnamese immigrants, who had to adapt to a new culture, language, and way of life. The author explores the historical context of the Vietnamese diaspora and the factors that led to the migration of thousands of refugees to the United States. The article offers a analysis of the challenges faced by Vietnamese immigrants, including discrimination, racism, and prejudice. The authors also examine the psychological impact of forced migration on the Vietnamese community, including issues related to identity, trauma, and loss. Overall, this article provides valuable insights into the struggles of Vietnamese immigrants during the 1980s and 2020s and sheds light on the importance of social support in facilitating their adaptation and integration into a new country.
