Abstract

Following the tradition of the Oriental Institute of the imperial era, we bring to your attention readers of the "Izvestia of the Oriental Institute of the Far Eastern Federal University" several translations of poems in the tanka genre of the outstanding Japanese poetess Tawara Machi (俵万智), performed by students of OI-SRIS FEFU during training sessions on the theory and practice of translation.
