Abstract

The integrity, practical significance and preservation of the "ethnic face" of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) allow us to consider it as a migratory cultural form. This determines the specifics of its perception and comprehension both in academic science and in the mass consciousness. In this regard, the article considers two ways of understanding this form in Russian culture: in the media and in scientific publications. The media introduce readers to the methods and means of Chinese medicine, show that TCM is one of the components of China's assistance to other countries during the pandemic, and also call for rationalizing the choice of traditional medicine
as much as possible. In scientific publications, a significant place is occupied by the actual medical works, the study of the experience of health care in China, the role of TCM in China's foreign policy, the difficulties of translating texts
on TCM, and the peculiarities of environmental management when using TCM tools.
