Abstract

Explanatory relations provide the necessary degree of communication of the text, contribute to the understanding of information. The article investigates the semantic content and ways of representing explanatory relations on the material of the Turkic languages. The study of semantic relations with parallels from other related languages contributes to a deeper understanding of explanatory connections, the identification of common means of expressing semantics. In the course of scientific work, structural-semantic, comparative methods, methods of linguistic description, modeling and transformational analysis were applied. As a result of the conducted research, it was found that the semantic-syntactic category of explanation represents the implementation of the explanatory meaning by expanding or narrowing the amount of information in syntactic units. Explanatory relations are related to relations between non-linguistic entities that are compared on some basis and represent a hierarchical dependence in the represented situation.
