Abstract

The article analyzes the history of penetration and the activities of radical Islamic organizations in two
subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District – the Republic of Buryatia and Trans-Baikal Territory. Based on the
analysis of Internet sources, as well as the results of research by Buryat and Trans-Baikal scientists, the features
of the activities of Salafi organizations in these regions are revealed; the role of "Russian Muslims" in the formation
of the ideology and activities of radical Islamic organizations is noted; the forms and methods of struggle of power
structures with radicals are revealed.
