Basic Functions of 3 de (的, 得, 地) in modern Chinese

Abstract

This article presents the description of the main functioning patterns of the 3 particles in modern Chinese
– 的(de), 得(de), 地(de), which were combined by the author into a group of structural particles 结构助词
(jiégòu zhùcí) in accordance with their syntactic functions in the sentence. Using continuous sampling method
and contextual analysis, the corresponding examples were found for each function from fiction and dictionaries.
As a result, the author comes to the conclusion about a particular importance of the grammatical meanings of the
particles for Chinese as an isolating language.
