Abstract

This scientific research is devoted to the topic of the initial stage of the history of the activities of Russian instructors who took part in the construction of the regular army of Mongolia at the beginning of the XX century. In his article, the author seeks to highlight a hitherto little-studied aspect of this problem – the financial side of Russian Mongolian military cooperation. The study analyzes in detail the features of loan agreements between Russia and Mongolia aimed at ensuring the process of military training. The author has identified the main participants in the scheme built by the authorities of the Russian Empire with the aim of organizing the delivery of funds to Mongolia – the consular service, the Kyakhta district treasury, branches of the Russo-Asiatic and State Banks in Troitskosavsk. The structure of the mechanism of cooperation between them in the process of organizing Russia's provision of financial assistance to Mongolia has been reconstructed.
