Abstract

This study is devoted to biography description of orientalist Andrey Pavlovich Boloban (1878 – before 1924),
that wrote a range of manuscripts regarding the economics of Manchuria and Mongolia at the beginning of 20th century. The main stages of his life path: the military service in Russian army, Eastern Institute in Vladivostok, Russo-Japanese War, service in Chinese Eastern Railway, Russian diplomatic mission in Mongolia. The highest point in his diplomatic career was the participation in preparation of Treaty of Kyakhta. The full biography of Boloban A.P. is absent in the present literature sources.
