Abstract

Words of Chinese origin make up more than half of the vocabulary of the modern Korean language. Chinese characters play a significant role in everyday topics. Basically, these Chinese characters include simple characters and cover all the basic character keys. Therefore, they are easier to remember. At the same time, successfully memorized Chinese characters enrich the vocabulary of students and thereby facilitates the study of the spoken and written aspects of the Korean language. The successful memorization of Chinese characters is facilitated by knowledge of the structure of “hanmun” words, which determines the purpose of this study. To achieve this goal, the author analyzes the internal structure of Chinese characters, as well as the structure of “hanmun words”, which are widely used in modern Korean.
