Abstract

The problems of linguistic representation of the world picture (including the national one) are among the most actively discussed in modern linguistics. One of the ways to describe the linguistic picture of the world is a frame. The article is devoted to the comparison of the frame “Teacher” represented in two linguistic world pictures (English and Chinese). The aim of the study is to compare two representations of the frame and to identify similarities and differences in their structures. The results of the study suggest that despite having some similarities, the nodes in the frames most often do not coincide in terms of volume, content and linguistic representation.
