Abstract

In Primorsky Krai, mortality from lung, tracheal and bronchial cancers ranks 1st, and in the structure of morbidity – 3rd place. Occupational risk groups have been identified for employees of enterprises where malignant diseases of the lungs, trachea and bronchi may be classified as professorial. In the medical field, there are chemical, biological, and physical risk factors that, in combination with other carcinogenic factors,

can also lead to the development of cancer. The latent course and long-term development of a cancerous tumor, the delayed appearance of the first symptoms does not always make it possible to correlate the trigger mechanism of the malignant process with carcinogenic factors in the workplace. Periodic medical examinations and preventive measures, primary and secondary, are the basis for the timely detection of precancerous tumor process, as well as malignant in the early stages among workers in any field. Unfortunately, knowledge of modern diagnostic technologies, precancerous diseases, risk groups, and risk factors did not lead to an increase in the detection of malignant diseases at the initial stages in the group of working citizens of Primorsky Krai. Ways to solve this problem are presented in this article. The article is devoted to the urgent problem of pulmonology and oncology – occupational lung malignancies.
