Abstract

The regional policy of modern Russia is a special area, which is influenced by the processes taking place in the international arena. Economic flows, trade agreements, deliveries of various goods and materials were reoriented to Asian countries, which determined the special attention of the government to the development of the Far Eastern territory. The relevance of the topic is due to the modern orientation of the economy towards Asian countries, which makes the Far East a key region in the system of trade and partnership relations. The purpose of the work is to consider the features of conducting regional policy in the Far Eastern Federal District. At the same time, it should be taken into account that, in general, the Far East is one of the key and at the same time problematic regions of the country. However, problems persist. The article will consider the key guidelines for the policy of the Russian government in the development of the Far Eastern territory. In conclusion, the areas of economic activity of interest to the government are presented, as well as promising areas for further development of the regional economy in accordance with trade relations with the countries of Asia and the Middle East.
