Abstract

The waters of the World Ocean are rapidly becoming polluted. The absence of effective, coordinated, and most importantly, effective measures to protect the ocean will inevitably lead humanity to catastrophic consequences. In this regard, the author addresses the problem of international cooperation in the field of environment protection. The article provides for a detailed analysis of the public danger of the issue under review, which poses a threat to all mankind; it suggests establishing criminal liability for pollution of the waters of the World Ocean and presents theoretical developments of new criminal law regulations.
