ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY OF DEVELOPED STATES: COMMONALITIES AND DIFFERENCES

Abstract

The article discusses the features of the formation of environmental policy in developed countries. Legislative acts and strategic documents, features of interaction
and the role of key subjects of this process are studied. The author evaluates the influence of globalization processes and international relations on the formation of environmental policies of individual states. The author comes to the conclusion that the climate agenda
and the interests of specific influence groups occupy a prominent place in the environmental policies of developed countries. Along with globalization, they have a significant
impact on the formation of government strategies and the achievement of goals. The ongoing negative trends in the global economy only accelerate the implementation of their
climate programs and form new environmental standards.
